Phone, email, payment and calendar providers
The status of each outside provider LegalBook connects to, and what works while a provider is not yet available.

On this page
LegalBook connects to outside services through adapters: a defined connection for each kind of provider, with a test version used in development. Every adapter on this page is built and tested against a test provider. None is offered as live yet, because each must be certified with the real vendor first.
When a provider is not configured, LegalBook says so plainly. It never pretends an action succeeded.

What works meanwhile
- Phone: the reception workspace, routing policies, recording and caller-ID policies, callbacks and voicemail are built and configurable. Live calls start when the carrier connection is certified.
- Email: transactional email from LegalBook (invitations and notifications) goes through the LegalBook account service. The shared inbox for correspondence waits for mailbox providers.
- Payments: fee agreements, invoices, payment plans and manual payments are recorded in LegalBook. Clients cannot pay online yet. LegalBook never collects card or bank numbers itself; payment always happens on the provider's own page.
- Calendars: LegalBook's own calendars, availability and booking work. Outside calendars are not read or written.
- Signatures: clients sign in the portal, or staff record paper signatures.
- AI: everything works without it. See AI suggestions and their limits.
- Practice management: signed webhooks and CSV import are available.
Credentials
Provider credentials, OAuth tokens and webhook secrets are stored encrypted and are never shown again after they are entered. Changing them needs a recent sign-in.
