Clio Manage
The Clio Manage adapter, what it syncs, and the dry run before going live. Not available yet.

Not available yet. The Clio Manage adapter is built and tested, but the live connection is in early access until it is certified with Clio. This page describes how it is built to work.
What it syncs
Contacts, prospects, matters, calendar entries, notes, tasks and document links, in both directions as your source-of-truth matrix allows. For matters this covers the number, description, status, practice area, responsible attorney and any custom fields you map.
Never sent to Clio: identifiers such as A-numbers, SSNs and passport numbers, safety flags, and attorney-only notes.
Clio accounts in its US, Canada, EU and Australia regions are supported.
Connect
- Open Integrations and choose Clio Manage.
- The connection screen lists exactly what will be shared.
- Sign in again when asked, then approve LegalBook in Clio.
- Choose which records to sync and set the matrix.
Users
Link each LegalBook user to their Clio user, so responsible attorneys and assignments carry across.
The activation dry run
Before going live, run the activation dry run (onboarding step 28, Validate data mappings). It reports what the first sync would do: records matched, created and skipped, and the authority of every field. Nothing is written.
Fix any blocking items, then Go live. Going live uses the latest dry run only: if a newer run found something, an older clean run cannot be used to skip it.
Duplicate prevention
LegalBook avoids creating duplicates by using links, a LegalBook ID field in Clio, and matching keys with a confidence threshold. When a match is ambiguous, it opens a review instead of creating a record.
Other practice-management systems
Other practice-management systems are listed in the integration catalog as planned so a firm can declare which one it uses during onboarding. They do not exchange any data. Until an adapter ships, use CSV import or a signed webhook.
