Dashboards and reports

The owner's dashboards, attorney leverage, capacity forecasting, governed reports, scheduled delivery, audited exports and client satisfaction.

For: Owner

On this page

The owner sees the business in the Firm workspace, under Analytics. Every number comes from LegalBook's own records of what happened, computed in the background, so dashboards load quickly and every figure can be traced.

The firm dashboard

Firm dashboard (press g d) shows the firm's identity and configuration summary, onboarding progress, quick links and widgets from each part of the product.

Operations

Operations shows service health, calls, the intake funnel, workforce and quality over any period you pick. Use the filter bar, save views, drill into a chart, and export a dashboard as PDF or the metrics as CSV or Excel. Each chart has a table view.

Service levels

Service levels shows service-level attainment and the risk of a breach before it happens, against the firm's targets. Owners and reporting administrators add, edit and retire targets; each target keeps its history.

Attorney leverage

Attorney leverage shows how much legal production happens without attorney time, and where attorneys are interrupted. Attorneys see firm totals and their own row only.

Capacity

Capacity forecasts staffing by queue and hour: required people, scheduled people, the shortfall in minutes and the projected service level, so shortfalls are visible before they happen. Shortfalls are marked with a symbol and text, never colour alone. With capacity permission, you can accept a recommendation, which hands a move to the supervisors.

Reports

Reports is the library of the firm's reports.

  • New report builds a report from governed fields only. Each field says whether the firm enabled it and whether you may read it. Fields you cannot use stay visible with the reason.
  • Preview runs the first 200 rows without storing anything.
  • Published reports are fixed; changes make a new version.
  • Run a report; long runs notify you when done.

Scheduled reports delivers a report on a schedule to people in the firm.

Exports

Exports are requested, approved where the firm requires approval (by default by a firm owner or administrator, never by the person who asked), produced in the background, and downloaded through a single-purpose link with a recent sign-in. Access is checked again at download time. Manage them in Exports, with an Approvals tab for approvers.

Legal file exports (a client's file, a person's file, the whole firm) are compliance exports, not reports. See Retention, legal holds and exports.

Client satisfaction

The firm can collect satisfaction surveys after calls, appointments and other touchpoints. Collecting them is off until the firm turns it on, and which touchpoints and channels it uses is an attorney setting. Small groups of comments are suppressed for most viewers.

Configuration

Configuration → Reporting sets the governed fields, export policy, client satisfaction and calculation settings. Enabling a confidential field needs a recent sign-in and a reason.
