Privacy

This notice covers this website, legalbook.work, and summarizes how the LegalBook app handles the data firms put into it.

This website

This website has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies, and it has no forms. Its fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.

Like any web server, ours keeps standard request logs (the address that made the request, the time, the page requested and the browser’s user-agent string) to keep the site running and secure. They are not used to profile visitors.

If you choose a light or dark appearance with the theme switch, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on your device. It is never sent to us.

When you email us (for example, to book a walkthrough), we receive what you send and use it to reply. Please do not send confidential client information by email.

The LegalBook app

Firms use the LegalBook app at app.legalbook.work to run their operations. The data a firm puts into it, including its clients’ data, is processed for that firm under its service agreement with LegalBook, and the firm controls its client data. LegalBook does not sell it and does not use one firm’s data for another firm.

If you are a client of a law firm that uses LegalBook, the firm is responsible for your information. Please contact the firm about it first.

Where data is hosted

Hosting locations and the service providers involved are set out for each firm with its service agreement.

Retention and deletion

Server logs for this website are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure it. In the app, each firm’s retention schedules and legal holds decide how long records are kept, and deletion requests are reviewed and decided under the firm’s compliance process.
